Lexington Law Firm. The Biggest of All The Credit Repair Companies

Lexington Law Firm Is The Largest Credit Repair Company
But Is It The Best To Fix Your Credit?

Lexing Law Intro

Lexington Law is definitely the largest of the credit repair companies available today. They’ve been around since 1991 and they are accredited with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), so you don’t have to worry about them being illegal or some fly-by-night company.

And since they have a solid refund policy you don’t have to worry about getting ripped off if you don’t get the services and results they claim.

Being the largest and one of the oldest credit repair companies gives them the ability to brag.

That being said, they probably shouldn’t.

Despite their size and seniority, they have a disproportionately large number of complaints registered with the BBB compared to any of the other main credit repair companies.

Lexington Law can and will get the job done, but they are not the most efficient, cost effective or friendly.

We can recommend this company as a choice, but certainly not as the best one.

Pros

  • They have been in the business of credit repair since 1991
  • They have served over ½ a million customers
  • They removed over 600,000 negative accounts for their customers in 2007 alone
  • They have a solid satisfaction guarantee and refund policy
  • They also provide a discount for spouses, although its a small one

Cons

  • Many complaints registered with the Better Business Bureau
  • Month-to-month plan, no sense of urgency
  • Among the highest prices in the industry for their services

BBB Rating, Complaints and Review

BBB Rating Satisfactory
Complaints in last year 94
Complaints in last 3 years 289

With 289 complaints registered with the BBB in the last three years, Lexington Law has 15 times more complaints than the next major credit repair company (Veracity Credit Consultants) we’ve reviewed.

Keeping that in mind, they have still earned and maintained a “Satisfactory” rating with the BBB.

Feel free to take a look at the BBB’s full report on Lexington Law.

Plans and Prices

Lexington Law offers three different credit repair service plans--Lexington Regular, Concord Standard and Concord Premier.

Although we list the three plans here for your consideration, DO NOT get the entry level service plan or the top level service plan.

The basic plan, Lexington Regular, does not provide for interventions or validations, both of which are an important part of the credit repair process if its to be done efficiently and effectively.

The top level plan, known as Concord Premier, simply has you wasting money for services that either aren’t worth paying for or are better provided elsewhere.

Credit Repair Company Comparison

If you would like to see how Lexington Law sizes up against several other companies, then check out our credit repair company comparison chart.

On the chart you will only find the Concord Standard service plan, out of the three plans that Lexington Law offers. It's the only one that we not only recommend, but that also provides the best apples-to-apples comparison against the best service plans of the other credit repair companies.

Conclusion

Lexington Law works on a month-to-month payement plan which makes their sense of urgency a bit suspect.

The number of complaints registered with the BBB is remarkably higher than the other companies reviewed, though they still managed a rating of "Satisfactory."

Of the five companies reviewed they were the 4th most expensive, though only a few dollars more than the 2nd and 3rd ranked credit repair companies.

They have serviced more customers than any other company and removed more negative accounts than any other company as well.

Overall, we feel that they are a top five company in the credit repair service industry, but they are 4th, at best, and it could easily be argued that they are 5th, with the high number of complaints they've received.

Of the main credit repair companies on the market today, Lexington Law may be the biggest, but it is not the best. Although you can definitely use them and be generally assured that you will get what you pay for, you can also get the same services from other credit repair companies that have a better reputation for customer service and get those services at a better price.
